Shazura is a US-based startup, leader in AI – Computer Vision, founded by a Spanish entrepreneur in Silicon Valley. We are based in San Francisco and have a team of scientific experts on a College Lab at Madrid Tech.

What we do

Shazura is successfully scaling its 100% proprietary, disruptive, and patented Fingerprint Technology product for real-time visual identification, authentication and recognition. We operate in multiple attractive sectors such as Luxury Authentication for Retail, Automated Operations for Manufacturing and Decision-Making for Autonomous Driving, collaborating with global leaders in the USA, Asia, and Europe.

Who we’re looking for

• STEM Data Scientists & Backend AI Engineers passionate about product development and edge-to-cloud deployments.
• Students, graduates, and/or master’s degree holders in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Maths, Physics.
• Backend software development experience using Python and Django.
• 1-4 years of demonstrated (work) experience in technological projects.

Requirements

• Agile design and development of RESTful APIs, Linux, and Cloud.
• Proficiency in integration tools, version control, code review, etc.
• Rapid prototyping of FrontEnd for Demos (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Problem-solving, analytical thinking, and product-oriented mindset.
• Teamwork and strong communication skills.
• High level of written Spanish and technical English.

Nice to have

• Deployment of services in AWS Cloud and Edge AI.
• SQL database management.
• Knowledge of DevOps, SysAdmin, Monitoring for Backend and SaaS.
• Familiarity with other programming languages (C++, Rust…).

Responsibilities

• Work with the product team from/in the College Lab at ETSIT-UPM.
• Prototyping, deployment, and operation of services.
• Participate in and support product deployments for clients.
• Develop new backend functionalities and capabilities.
